These things are great! About a year ago, my buddy next door bought a Transonic BugChaser because bats were sleeping (and pooping) under his carport roof. It worked so well, some of them moved over to our place to get away. Now we like bats and appreciate the work they do so we don't want to hurt them or scare them away entirely, just keep them out of our areas. Long story short, we bought our own BugChaser about a year ago from a local hardware chain. It worked so well it moved the bats into my shop, right over my work area-not good either. So I got this one and that solved the problem.The bats are still in the area eatin' bugs, but not where they shouldn't be. Very happy with it! By the way for what it's worth, both of ours are located quite near our bedroom window yet we don't even hear them.
